Dr Flavia Bueno

Dr Flavia Bueno is an Endocrinologist with special interest in female hormonal issues, PCOS, obesity, osteoporosis, adrenal disorders, post cancer treatments and general endocrinology.
Dr Bueno completed her Endocrinology training overseas in 2002. She moved to Australia in 2008 and undertook specialist training in Sydney. She enjoys working with all aspects of endocrinology and has special interest in Women’s Health, such as, Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, Menopause and Menstrual Irregularities. Part of her training was done at The Women’s Hospital in Melbourne, and she has been a visiting doctor at female endocrinology department of Karolinska Institute in Sweden.
Dr Bueno is an active member of the Australian Menopause Society.
Dr Bueno remains involved with research on PCOS and Obesity and works as a Senior Lecturer in Endocrinology, at the Western Sydney University. She runs the Female Endocrinology Clinic at Campbelltown hospital, where she holds a position as Honorary Medical Officer. She also coordinates the Diabetes Complications Clinic or IPL (Interprofessional Learning Clinic) at the Macarthur Clinical School, where she teaches medical and allied health students. Dr Bueno is available for consultations at our North Sydney rooms and Wahroonga rooms. She is also accredited at the Mater Hospital in North Sydney.
Dr Bueno balances her work and teaching commitments with a busy family life and remains a passionate advocate for all women’s causes.
